Terms & conditions
Version of 25 October 2026
1. Who we are
Manon is an app by Proposition BV, Kruisstraat 129, 2570 Duffel, Belgium, company number BE 0707.627.272, hello@manon-app.com.
2. What Manon is
Manon helps (future) parents from wishing for a child to their child's first years, together with their partner and with the people who help look after their child. Manon is available in Dutch, French and English. Among other things, you can:
- follow your pregnancy week by week, with the babyplanner;
- keep tasks and a calendar, alone or with your partner;
- log your child's feeding, sleep, diapers, temperature, medication, growth and more;
- follow a sleep prediction and a daily routine with reminders;
- keep track of what your child tastes, and look up what you can eat while pregnant or breastfeeding;
- keep a diary and follow your child's development in timelines;
- choose a name together;
- find childcare;
- connect with your midwife, and let babysitters and grandparents help.
Midwives can use Manon too, for the families who connect with them.
3. Agreeing
You agree to these terms and to our privacy policy by ticking the box when you create your account. You must be at least 16. Whether you share health data is a separate choice; the privacy policy explains what it means.
4. Your account
- Fill in correct details and choose a password you don't use anywhere else.
- Your account is personal: one person per account. Don't share your password with anyone, not even your partner. Your partner creates their own account and joins your family.
- After five wrong passwords in a row, your account is locked for a while.
- You are responsible for what happens with your account. Think someone else can get in? Change your password in your profile and let us know. Forgot your password? Email us.
5. No medical advice
Manon is not a medical device and does not give medical advice.
- The information in Manon, about your pregnancy, your child's development, feeding and sleep, is general information. It never replaces your doctor, your midwife, Kind en Gezin, ONE or any other healthcare provider.
- Predictions (when your child is probably tired, the daily routine, when the next feeding is due) are estimates based on what you logged. Always follow what your child shows you as well.
- Manon doesn't judge what you fill in. Manon doesn't rate a temperature, a weight or a number of feedings as good or bad. The growth charts show where your child is compared with the World Health Organization's curves, not whether that is good. When in doubt, contact your doctor or your midwife.
- The sleep methods in Manon are general information. Decide together with your doctor, your midwife or Kind en Gezin what suits your child.
- “Can I eat this?” summarises Belgian advice, first of all Kind en Gezin's, as it was on the date shown with it. In your own situation (an allergy, an illness, medication), what your doctor or midwife says applies.
- Tasting helps you keep track of what your child tasted. For starting solids and allergens, follow the advice of your doctor or Kind en Gezin. In case of an allergic reaction, call your doctor, or 112 if it is serious.
- Reminders and notifications can arrive late or not at all, for example when your phone has no connection, your notifications are off or Apple's notification service is delayed. Don't rely on them blindly, especially not for medication.
- In an emergency, call 112. For poisoning: the Poison Centre, 070 245 245. At night and at weekends: the GP on-call service, 1733.
6. Sharing with others
- Your family. Your partner who joins your family sees and edits everything in it: your child, the log, the tasks and the choices. If one of you leaves the family, the family's data stays with whoever stays.
- Babysitters and grandparents. You link them yourself. They see what they need to look after your child and log too; the privacy policy says exactly what. You decide whom you link, and you can unlink them at any time.
- Your midwife. Your midwife only sees what the privacy policy describes and what you tick. A midwife is an independent healthcare provider: their care, and what they do with your data, fall under their own professional duties, not under Manon. The messages in Manon are not for urgent questions: then call your midwife, your doctor or 112.
- If you are a midwife, fill in your professional details truthfully. You respect your professional secrecy and the GDPR for the data families share with you. We may refuse or withdraw a registration.
7. What you put into Manon
- What you put into Manon (logs, diary, photos, tasks, messages) stays yours. You only allow us to store it and show it to you and to the people you give access, as long as that is needed to make Manon work.
- Don't put photos or data of other people into Manon unless you are allowed to.
- We don't look at your content and don't use it for anything else (see the privacy policy).
8. What is not allowed
Don't use Manon for anything unlawful, or to harass others. And don't try to:
- get into data or accounts that aren't yours;
- disrupt or overload the app or the servers;
- extract data from the app automatically;
- copy or take apart the app, except as far as the law allows.
9. The childcare finder
The childcare data comes from public sources and may be out of date. Check it with the childcare itself. If something is wrong, use “Suggest an edit”. If you register your own childcare, you make sure the details are right and that you may share them.
10. Availability and new versions
We do our best to keep Manon available at all times, but can't guarantee it. Sometimes maintenance is needed. We may change, add or stop features, and ask you to update the app. An older version may stop working at some point.
11. Price
Manon is free and shows no ads. If paid features ever come, we will say clearly beforehand what they cost. You never pay unless you choose to.
12. Liability
- We are liable for damage we cause intentionally or through gross fault, and for bodily injury caused by our fault.
- For other damage we are not liable, as far as the law allows. This covers, for example, indirect damage, or data lost because Manon is temporarily not working. Manon is free, and the information in it is general (see section 5).
- Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law.
13. Stopping
- You can stop using Manon at any time. Delete your account in the app (Profile › Delete account), and everything is deleted at once. Otherwise ask at hello@manon-app.com; within 30 days everything is deleted (see the privacy policy).
- In case of serious or repeated abuse, we may suspend or close an account, after a warning where possible.
14. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in an important way, we let you know in the app at least 30 days beforehand, and ask you to agree again. If you don't agree, you can have your account deleted.
15. Law and disputes
- Belgian law applies to these terms. If you live in another EU country, you keep the protection the law of that country gives you as a consumer.
- Have a complaint? Tell us first at hello@manon-app.com. We will look for a solution together.
- If that doesn't work, you can turn to the Consumer Ombudsman Service (www.consumerombudsman.be) or to the court the law designates.
16. Other
If part of these terms is invalid, the rest still applies. We replace the invalid part with what comes closest to its intent and is valid.
